Okorocha denies dragging control of South-East APC with Tinubu

OkorochaGovernor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has described as malicious and unfounded reports of him contesting who controls the All Progressives Congress (APC) structure in the South-east with the national leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
Okorocha, who said this yesterday also dismissed rumours of crisis brewing in the South-East Chapter of the APC, noting that those behind the mischievous reports were determined to cause disaffection between him and the former Lagos State Governor for fear of the rising profile of the party in the zone.
A national newspaper had carried a report which alleged that Governor Okorocha, Senator Chris Ngige and Asiwaju Bola Tinubu are the brains behind a looming crisis in the South-East APC. The report also claimed that there was a power struggle between Governor Okorocha and Asiwaju Tinubu over who controls the APC in the zone.
