DR. OGAH UCHECHUKWU SAMPSON (OON, FCA)

Dr. Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah is the president of Master’s energy Group, a conglomerate with over 13 subsidiaries and interest spanning across oil and gas, banking, insurance, aviation, shipping, dredging, logistics, construction, travel agency, power etc. 

Dr. Uche Ogah is a Chartered Accountant and was a seasoned banker with over 15 years experience in the banking sector. 

He began his banking career at Nal Bank Plc as a Youth corper. Thereafter, he took up full employment at All States Trust Bank and later joined Zenith Bank, a bank he worked and spent his banking career of over 10 years until he voluntarily resigned in 2007.  While at Zenith Bank; he was at different times a Branch Manager and Head, Business Focus Group; with core competencies in Business Development, Internal Control, Human Resources and Strategic Planning. He left Zenith Bank as an Assistant General Manager/Head, Ikeja Business focus Group.

Dr. Uche Ogah holds the following academic degrees; Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from University of Lagos, Bachelor of Science (Banking & Finance) from Ogun State University, Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) from University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) and HND (Distinction) in Accountancy from the prestigious Institute of Management and Technology, Enugu.

He is a member of various professional bodies including Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN). Dr. Ogah has attended several Senior Management Development programmes both locally and abroad.

Dr. Ogah is also an Ambassador and Member of the Governing Council of the Nigeria-Turkey Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Dr. Uche Ogah is a role model, leader, philanthropist, go-getter and quintessential gentleman, who have given generously his time, expertise, and financial resources to make a difference in the life of others.

He had single- handedly electrified villages in Uturu Community, constructed a 5,000 capacity auditorium in Abia state University (ABSU) Uturu, changed the landscape of a whole village by building prototypal houses for the entire community and offered free medical services to the citizens of the community; in addition to building a fully equipped modern hospital. The primary school he rehabilitated is the only one with ICT centre and modern facilities.

He had partnered with Hopeville Rehabilitation centre, Uturu for fabrication of Prosthesis (Artificial Limbs) and Orthotic (Calipers) for so many disabled persons who could not afford it. He solely bore the cost of transportation, accommodation, feeding and treatment of a young man of about 33 years and babies to India for a Major Respiratory Operation and Open Heart Surgery respectively and other related disease.
