All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential aspirant and former vice president, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has described himself as the most experienced among the aspirants in the race.
Atiku stated this yesterday while addressing APC delegates of Plateau State at his Rayfield house in Jos.
According to him all those contesting for president are inexperience compared to his own experience in democracy, saying he has been the vice president of Nigeria for good eight years and nobody has broken the record till date.
“Nobody fought the military in this country for democracy like me, my mentor Late Shehu Yar’Adua lost his life in the course of this struggle, and I repeat nobody fought for democracy like me, for that reason I’m the most experienced politician amongst those contesting for president.
The former vice president said he was the only politician who fought his boss former President Obansanjo in 2003 against the imposition of third term and that brought stability in the polity.
He described President Jonathan as inexperienced leader who cannot presided over the country, saying already the APC presidential aspirants have resolved among themselves to support whoever emerges as the winner during the Benin primaries to take over from the bad leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party come 2015.
He however promised to tackle the security challenges by empowering the military with the required gadgets and create room for more recruitment of security personnel to curtail the insurgency in the country. Chairman of APC in Plateau State, Hon. Latep Dabang promised that all the state’s delegate will massively vote for Atiku because of the financial support he has always render to the party.
